I have been a Gentry customer with a maintenance contract for HVAC and Generator for 12 years. Scott Miller has been my tech for most of them. I always request him for my maintenance appointments because he is thorough, knowledgeable, pleasant , and I know he will do what needs to be done and do it right. In the past winter when I had two heat emergencies, despite icy roads Gentry sent a tech out the same day to get my heat back on. They are simply, in my estimation, the best. Gentry is locally-owned and operated since 1963 and their customer service is excellent. In today's world that is too often a rarity. That was the last straw. Justin in sales was helpful and understood what I wanted. Tony and Paco were a good team and installed the new AC unit and cleaned up, and got my furnace running again. Feel like I'm in good hands. I recently had the pleasure of having an inspection of the new AC unit and my gas furnace by Trent. I want to specifically recommend this man for not only being pleasant to talk with, but he's very willing to answer any questions you might have. That generosity and skill is very appreciated. Two of my neighbors recently needed a capacitor replaced. One had to wait two weeks for a repairman. As Trent was going to test the capacitor as part of the inspection he allowed me to watch and ask questions. I now know where the part is located, how it is removed(simple flat head screwdriver, ) and how to test it with a voltage tester. He even explained the readings that would put it in the 'good' or 'maybe going to fail soon' category. I'm indebted. He took his time and appeared to me to be thorough and careful in his work. Spent a good deal of time on the outside unit when the temp was in the 30s and it was spitting snow. But the great thing was that he showed me a picture of the ductwork and suggested we get the ducts cleaned. When I replied that a Gentry team had cleaned them 6 months ago, Joe offered to have one of the team contact me about re-doing the work. Someone called today and we arranged to have the cleaning done again at no charge to us.
